The Drama of My Life

12 oct 2013 marks one of the most dramatic day of my life. Let's start it with some good things on running.

This week would be my final long run before tapering off for BSN PNM Half Marathon. Just had my first half marathon and all the butterflies has gone. i no more worried abomm,ut how will it go (plus, the one that I was worried more on was the logistic matters). Now that it's a night run, i have much less to worry about. the only thing that may cause things not to go as planned is only because, Aminsyah will not be around to run with me. So, back to the long run. I dont intend to do a very long distance, cos i will be limited in terms of time and i dont want to injure myself so much. true enough, i still had some pains on the upper legs, somewhere along the upper thigh and hip area.

I started easy, and simply followed my effort as my guidance. Again, my garmin heart rate fail on me. the heart rate didn't go as high as it should be. it was in the range of 70-90 ish range. which is definitely shouldn't be the case. after my last long run at bukit jelutong with nan, mazy, jeli and few others i dont know, i felt the hills were not too bad. but i dont want to go through the hills further inside. for 16km, i think 2 loops of the outer route should be enough. there was no intention to pick up speed at all, and i was not pushing myself at all, so i just followed whatever my effort brought me to. and it turned out to be at good paces. nothing exceeded 6.45, in fact it was mostly around 6.00 to 6.40, depending on the elevation. But I swear I didnt push myself. I just ensured that it didnt get so slow...but it was all effortless ones.

Had to stop after the first loop for water break. That's when I thought, ok, I will need to get a fuel belt then. Went on ahead and thought I would finished off stronger. So I tried to main my downhill pace, so it stayed in the range of 5.45 to 5.55 to imitate tempo like workout for about 3km...and I was a workout that I felt satisfied about.

Butttt...nike's data was not synced again. I so hate nike plus on android. It was never this problematic before with ios. And look at that heart rate reading..totally definitely off..u cant have a heart rate reading at that while having a tempo at the end of the 16 km run. Ok I admit, I like to share about my workout more than other things. It's not a very big drama, but it's quite still for me, hence the drama no, 0. So below here are the real drama.

Before that, I got backpain from carrying Qaisar so much. All due to aminsyah is always lazy to bring strollers. Plus the bonnet was full. I had to eat at mcd with carrying Qaisar on the carrier. This is how I ate. Him on my left arm. Thats what being mom on the run about. My ribs felt like it was about to break.

Drama No. 1
Aminsyah had a lot to look out at midvalley plak. So we left midvalley only around 4. Sigh. While on the highway, we stopped at a petrol station to reload the touch and go. While I was changing spot from the front to the back seat. I was still outside and I heard some scream. 2 indian ladies were trying to catch a man on a motorbike. And a man was trying to help out, he was just next to the moving motorbike and tried to grab him. Of cos the thief was faster. It was so scary that it had to happen right there in front of our eyes, when there were a lot of people around. It just an indication that it can simply happen anywhere. It leads to another issue though. I will need to be more careful now, and need to avoid from being alone too much. That includes being out for runs on my own, going ro races etc2. Sigh..and I havent updated the story about the snake yet.

Drama No. 2
So we moved on, heading towards Melaka. Somewhere along the way, Qaisar pooped. Fine, let him do his business. Then Qays screamed, Qaisar pooped. To top it all, it got smeared on his pants, shirt and baby seat. He basically cannot moved anywhere, unless we want his poop to smear all over the car. Since we missed the highway's R&R, we had to stop by the roadside. Lucky I had 2 1.5 litre bottles of plain water, and we used that to clean up his mess. with the snatch thief incident still fresh in mind, we had to be very mindful of what we were doing.

Drama No. 3
Since Aminsyah had not been able to buy his Beriani Power for a long time, i suggested that we buy it this time around, while at the same time, saving me the trouble of me preparing dinner. Since we left KL only around 4, and with all the drama and the slight traffic along the way, we only reached melaka around 6.30. We didn't perform our solat yet, and had to move straight to Tesco Melaka for the Beriani Power. We then had to find a place to solat along the way, and we couldn't find anywhere until it was 5 minutes to 7 pm. Maghrib was early in Melaka at 7.01 pm. We finally reached Petronas that has a surau after anxiously and patiently going through the heavy Melaka traffic, looking around for any available surau and checking the phones for anything available nearby. Then, there was only 1 surau, and it was occupied with men. i had to perform my ablution in the open area, and since I couldnt solat inside, i figured this is darurat, and i went straight into the car and perform my solat in the car, at the backseat, facing backwards, sitting. Never have i done such things before and i dont think anyone else had as well..

Drama No. 4
So we went straight to tesco. upon reaching there, when i was about to go down, i couldnt find my sandals. Gosh, dont tell me i left it at the petronas. As if that day's drama wasn't enough. Traffic was so heavy that it took us a long time to reach tesco, and now we had to back again. and Aminsyah didn't want to bu without him. being the one at fault, i better not argue with him. Upon reaching there, the sandal cannot seem to be found. I walked barefooted, trying to look for it myself as well. the lady inside claimed that she didnt see it. when i was about to give up, i saw aminsyah walked behind the petronas guy. i hoped something good is there, else i would have to go barefooted and buy a new sandal. it was. Alhamdulillah. of all the things, i forgot to put my shoe on. sighhh.

Alhamdulillah the drama finally over and nothing big happened after that. Except that i left Qays's bottle and stuff at my parents'.
