22 and 23 Months Mark

It's official. Officially announcing that I have started to mix my breastfed baby with formula at the 22 months mark and has stopped pumping at work at 23 months mark.

May you rest well pump. You have served well...for now
1 month short from Qays. As of now, he's the most privileged one now. Hope my fourth will have the most than its brothers. I wasn't ready of course, when my frozen milk started to deplete until it was totally consumed. I was hoping that it can last me until 2 complete years. But pregnancy clearly has its tolls. No matter what you do, the supply will just reduce (remember the supply and demand rule for breastfeeding? Even with demand, it will deplete no matter what). It's good enough that I still have some for him to latch on. I hope I can maintain it even until the 4th baby's arrival. Yeah, I'm that gung-ho myself, on breastfeeding. And believe me, I'm not the totally blessed with lots of milk type. I work hard for it.

It comes some sort of a blessing though. At least I have less to carry for the Kinabalu Mount Climb. I should be worrying more on other stuff now. One of God's mysterious way to help you I guess.

And Qaisar, didn't have any issue at all being introduced with formula. He had problem only with the first day or 2. After that, he's been after it like no one's business. He even prefer the Enfagrow than my pityly expressed breastmilk (EBM) from work. Yeah, it's a pity EBM. I produced very less, but still I went on. At times, it was only 2-3 oz from the whole day. So that's why, come 2015, I think that's it. I should consider it a quit. It gives me more freedom in office. More freedom in terms of clothing. Less things to carry to work. It's such a blessing in a sense.

So that's it. A break from pumping at work....for now... until this July.
