The Much Awaited Vacation 2013 - Langkawi
9Ever since we got married, we always make it a norm to have a once a year atleast holiday. So far I think we have done well at it.

Looks like 2008 and 2010 we didnt have anything on. Weird. Lucky I have this log to remind me later on of the holidays that we've had somehow.
So work was crazy. The week before the vacation was the crazy race weekend. And Aminsyah wasnt around. We had only booked 1 room. We didnt have rooms for the other 2 nights. And this time we would have 2 additional pax, the baby and the maid. Made it even more reasons for us to make it even more organised. But we didnt. Lucky it was only a hort domestic trip.
But true to ourselves, I think we still managed to squeeze in the fun wherever we can. Especially with me the hip mom to 3 boys. I will not make our trips to be mostly shopping or a plain sightseeing without having to do anything. So here goes our langkawi itinerary:
Day 1
Check in to Simfoni Resort
Lunch and window shopping around the are
Night market till late at night
Day 2
Checkout and supposed to go to dataran lang.
Was raining so had to head straight to Makam Langkawi
Visit to Beras terbakar at Padang Matsirat. Lunch there.
Cable car ride and shop at the bazar there. Aminsyah and Qaid had their horse ride. Qays was too scared to ride.
Stopped at Petronas Quay. Nice view but too hot to snap pictures and enjoyed the time there
Head to cenang. Strolled along The beach in d car. Enjoyed the view.
Checkin hotel. Brought kids to swim
Dinner.
Shopping
Day 3
Telaga Tujuh waterfall
Strolled along the north of Langkawi coastal line.
Lunch along the way.
Galleria Perdana
Dataran Lang
Back to Cenang beach for some beach play
Back to hotel for some swimming in the pool for the kids

So we flew with Malindo. It was the cheapest. 849 for 5 pax. That makes it around 160 per adult with free baggage.
Our first hotel was Simfoni Resort in Kuah. We have always made it a point to not stay at 1 place throughout the vacation, as it will bore us and d kids, and we'd like to be near the hotspot but at the same time we want to try everythjng that can be tried out. So we've had kuah as our first destination. It's supposed to be one of the main attractions in langkawi. But it's actually quite a laid back town. There are few duty free shop here and there, but so does the rest of the island. So nothing reallly special. So the most special thing would be the Eagle Square or Dataran Lang. It's situated at the jetty. But we didnt manage to go there. The kids were tired and injured. And Aminsyah wanted to torture us by having us walk there, which was totally insane.
We had dinner at the town. We were shocked with the price. It was a normal thai food base restaurant. Cos the taste didnt match d price.
The next day was a horrible day for us. We had an accident. Didnt totally blame Aminsyah, as I had somekind of similar accident with our own civic before. At least it explains why I had the accident that I had.
I just knew after I got back that telaga tujuh is 'keras' as they say it in malay. Alhamdulillah nothing happened. But we truly enjoyed our time there. So did qaisar.

It was quite surprising that bibik didnt have any problem with the cable car ride. She said she was afraid after that but she didnt really gives us the trouble of not wanting to do this and that. She seemed to enjoy the activities. Her only problem was she need to have rice every time. So that left us limited in terms of food option.
Galleria perdana was ok. was quite boring actually, but it's a good thing anyway that we got to see it. Just for curiosity sake.
We struggled to make our way back to Dataran Lang. We had fun taking the pictures. Weee.
Unlike previous vacation, this is the only time that i didnt get to swim at all. didn'e expect that it can be this pack. Plus with a baby, my flexibility was a bit limited.
The massage was expensive. We could have had something much cheaper, in KL, or manja kaki. but we had it anyhow. I was quite fussy in terms of the foot massage. i need the shop to be a bit private, not too much lighting and all. Cos the bulk of the fee was in order to fill this requirement.
All in all, we had fun. Bibik had fun. Till next vacay
